How it Works

Event Setup

We provide a stunning, flower-filled cart at your event.

Elegant Display

A small vase is placed at guests’ table setting or on a large table to take.

Guest Experience

Guests come up to the cart and select and trim their favorite blooms to create a personalized arrangement.

Take-Home Gift

At the end of the event, guests bring their floral creation home, complete with a thank-you tag.

I’m Emily, the heart behind Ellie’s Blooms. Flowers have always been a source of joy and inspiration for me, and I love creating experiences that bring people together in beautiful and meaningful ways. When I set out to create this business, I wanted something truly special—an experience that felt elegant, personal, and full of charm.

The cart itself is a labor of love, handcrafted by my husband and grandpa, making it as special as the moments it helps create. Our flowers are thoughtfully sourced from trusted wholesalers and local growers, ensuring the freshest, most exquisite blooms for your event.

The name Ellie’s Blooms comes from my beloved yellow lab, Ellie, who brings endless joy and warmth to my life. While my name is Emily (not Ellie, as I’m often mistaken for!), I wanted my business to reflect the same sweetness that Ellie brings to me every day.

Based in Crystal Lake, IL, I proudly serve events throughout Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee. At Ellie’s Blooms, we believe every gathering deserves a personal, elegant touch—and nothing is more timeless than flowers arranged with care and creativity.

Ellie’s Blooms is a complete experience! I provide everything needed for a seamless floral activity, including vases, a curated selection of flowers, guidance on arranging, and hands-on support throughout the entire event. Guests can enjoy the process without any hassle, knowing their arrangements will be both beautiful and effortless.

Our flower cart arrives at your event filled with fresh flowers. Each guest receives a vase that is placed at their table setting and includes a personalized thank-you tag. Guest are then invited up to the cart at a specific time during the event. I stay with the cart for the length of the event, guiding guests as they select their favorite blooms and arrange them into a vase arrangement. Throughout the event, I continuously tidy the space, refresh flowers as needed, and ensure everything runs smoothly. 

Our pricing is based on group size rather than a strict per-person rate but averages out to about $12–$24 per person, depending on group size, flower selection, and location.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due the day of the event. Payment details will be sent upon booking. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

The sooner the better! We recommend booking at least 6–8+ weeks in advance to ensure our availability as well as flower availability, especially during spring and summer months. We may not be able to accommodate events with less than 3 weeks notice.

Our flower cart is 35.5 inches wide and fits through most standard doorways, though maneuvering can be tight, especially in areas with steps or stairs, and especially stoops.

During the event, the guests need about 6×6 foot area to get around.

With the help of our umbrella, we are able to accommodate outdoor displays, too.

If your venue has any space restrictions, let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly!

Ellie’s Blooms does not require electricity, but we appreciate access to water, such as a large sink, to help keep the flowers fresh throughout the event. 

We provide an umbrella for outdoor events, but recommend having a back-up plan in case of bad weather.

No, Ellie’s Blooms is not a traditional florist. Instead, we provide a unique, interactive floral experience where guests create their own petite arrangements at events. While we curate a beautiful selection of fresh flowers, we do not offer full floral design services like bouquets, centerpieces, or event installations.
